The Roofing Specialists Ltd is a family run business which was established in 1988 by Frank and Levern Thomas.The Roofing Specialists was a founding member of The Roofing Association of NZ and Frank served as an executive member for eight years.As a member of The Roofing Association our customers are provided with the assurance that our work meets the high quality backed by the association.The staff at The Roofing Specialists boasts an extensive range of skills and experience and is represented by qualifications in plumbing,  metal roof installation and the company holds Asbestos class A&B licenses.
The Roofing Specialists employs full time staff and have long standing working relationships with our sub-contractors.We are at the forefront of the industry with certifications and technology this means that we can provide solutions on all commercial and residential projects. 

Frank & Levern Thomas

Frank Thomas’s working career in the Roofing Industry spans 50 years.Frank qualified as a Registered Plumber, following this, he spent 14 years working as a plumber and roofer for a large plumbing & roofing business involved in both contracting and manufacturing.
In 1988 The Roofing Specialists Ltd was formed.  The company is approved by the major NZ roofing manufacturers as certified installers of metal and translucent sheeting and holds distributorships for installation of metal tiles and fascia along with butyl membrane and torch-on systems.  
Through his personal dedication to the roofing industry and desire to achieve a more professional and trained industry, Frank has been personally committed to RANZ and industry training since 1998.  
Frank began the consultancy side of the business early 2006 where he uses his expertise in assisting in the mediation of problem jobs throughout New Zealand. 
As he has stepped away from the day to day running of the business,  In September 2020 Frank began a new chapter having secured a place on the Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP) Board where his experience in the industry is utilised Nationwide. 
Levern works closely with all office staff and overseas all company accounts and payroll.  She is often approached for her thorough advice and her eye for detail and strategic thinking ensures this aspect of the business is accurate and runs smoothly.
Together with Frank they have built the company to where it stands today. 

May 2019 Frank was awarded The Roofing Association of New Zealand’s highest honour of Life Membership.The award is in recognition of his long and outstanding contribution, service and dedication to the industry.
